For the Lion's Gate Portal I will be drawing on the energy and placement of the fixed star Sirius. Lion's Gate was celebrated in ancient times by Indigenous peoples as the return of the water to the Nile.
This period was also significant because Sirius could be seen on the horizon as the Sun rises over the horizon - giving the appearance of two Suns in the morning sky. In Sidereal astrology, The Sun is in the sign of Leo [ruled by The Sun] and characterized by the lion.
According to Time Nomad, Sirius is a Behenian star [meaning "root" in Arabic] inside of the Canis Major constellations. Fixed Stars can alter the energy of planets with precision and diligence. This will affect each person differently as it mostly depends on the current time and location of the native [owner of the birth chart].
Sirius' Helical Rising is the most significant influence and carries a larger ray of light that casts upon the entire chart of the transit and the natal chart. In ancient Mexicatl [pre-colonial Mexico], Sirius was the original birthplace of humans and there are stories about ancient people traveling from Sirius to Earth. In the North there are stories told by the Anishinaabe that reference Sirius as "the hole in the sky where we all came from".
In some Indigenous cultures, Sirius is a symbol of "the good ol' days" when there was no suffering, when the Universe was fresh, when many places in the sky were unexplored. This memory may or may not be 100% true, but it lives inside of the people whose spirits still remember what life was like before colonialism and industrialization.
Alice Sparkly Kat, author of PostColonial Astrology, says "Sirius is a star that deals with memory. However, Sirius doesn’t deal with real memory but fabricated memory."
In the same article Alice also says "Sirius is about creating memories that live in the future. It’s a spectacular star and anyone who has personal aspects to Sirius has a magical ability to remix and reimagine history. Sirius people know what happened in the past, even if they don’t know it. Ancestor problems show up in the form of coincidences and synchronicities." This is a slight nod to the 7 generations teachings from the Native people of the Americas. Within our DNA we hold the memories of 7 generations before us and we have the opportunity to create 7 generations of ancestral memories within our lifetime for our future descendants.
Astronomically, Sirius is actually a binary star [two stars that revolve around the same center of mass or gravitational pull]. If you have ever seen Sirius twinkle, it is due to this 50 year cycle of Sirius A and Sirius B revolving around each other.

Het-Hert [Hathor] and The Rise of Sirius
Part of the reason why I celebrate Noelle's work, especially her 8 Days of Lion Gate series [now available on YouTube], is due to her recognition and honoring of the ancient Africans who studied the natural phenomena of the stars. In the Book of Doors, Het-Hert wears a collar piece and holds a sistrum, both represents spiritual and magickal protection from the dark forces. When the priestesses of Het-Hert play the sistrum, the vibration from the instrument expels the darkness. She is also represented by the cow with the Sun between its horns and her names include Neith, Maat, Auset, Sekhmet, Mut, Sesheta, Bastet, Tefnut, and more.
The Pharaonic Dendera calendar and The Zodiacs
Het-Hert worship is synonymous with worshipping the divine feminine and the mother, wife, and daughter of Ra. In the Denderah Temple zodiac [which has since been desecrated], she appears as the Lioness. This incarnation may relate to the naming of The Lion's Gate portal, which also marked the Kemetic New Year. Het-Herts divinatory meaning is love, pleasure, and beauty.

During this transit, Gate 39 will be defined with energy from Sirius in the Root Center in Tropical astrology. Gate 45 will be defined with the energy from Sirius in the Throat Center in Sidereal astrology.
